Nikhila Ravi

I am a Research Lead in the Meta Superintelligence Labs (MSL) Media Research team. I co-lead the Segment Anything (SAM) team and have experience leading research and engineering orgs of 40+ people. I enjoy working across fundamental research, engineering, and building demos & products. I co-led the development of Segment Anything, SAM 2, SAM 3 which have won awards at top AI conferences and power features like Instagram Edits Cutouts, Subject Effects, Backdrop and FB Marketplace View in Room. I received my BEng and MEng with First Class Honours from the University of Cambridge and spent a year at Harvard on a John F. Kennedy Scholarship. I received the Royal Academy of Engineering Young Engineer of the Year Award.
